We are currently looking for a dynamic individual with a strong focus on customer satisfaction to join our team as a pastry chef. As a pastry chef, you will lead the dessert and pastry section of the deli, crafting and executing a diverse array of baked goods, desserts, and pastries. You'll collaborate closely with the Deli Manager and other team members to ensure our desserts consistently meet the high standards of our establishment, and delight our customers.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a pastry chef or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of desserts and pastries.
Skills
- Each food beverage or bakery item has its own story. Learn basic knowledge of all food, beverage or bakery item. Ability to describe them and assist customers with recommendations.
- Proficient in various pastry techniques, including baking , piping, tempering chocolate, and sugar work.
- Ability to innovate and create unique dessert offerings while also being able to execute classic recipes and precision.
- Ability to solve a variety of situations in a productive, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow Team Members and customers.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions, particularly whilst utilizing Microsoft programs.
Starting Pay
- Pastry Chef – $24 per hour
