About Mark Fergusson - Down to Earth's Chief Organic Officer

Mark Fergusson is the Chief Executive & Chief Financial Officer of Down to Earth Organic & Natural, Hawaii’s leading organic & natural plant-based/vegetarian food store. When he joined the company in 1991, he had just moved to Hawaii from Australia for a dream job come true. Down to Earth's commitment to organic food production, sustainability, and healthy living – including the promotion of a vegetarian diet are in complete harmony Mark’s own values. Mark started as the Chief Financial Officer and later became the Chief Executive Officer.

Born and raised in Sydney Australia, Mark received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Macquarie University and is a fellow of CPA Australia.

Mark is a former President of HOFA (Hawaii Organic Farmers Association); was a founding member of Label It Hawaii, regularly speaking on the need for GMO labeling; serves on the advisory board of the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii; and, was a volunteer mediator for the Mediation Center of the Pacific for many years.

He resides in Kailua and regularly visits his extended family in Australia.
