We’re excited to announce the winner of our Keiki Chef Smoothie Bowl contest: Lacey’s Monkey Bowl!
We loved the creativity of her bowl right down to the cute monkey face design. Lacey will receive a $100 Down to Earth gift card as her grand prize.
Lacey’s Monkey Bowl
- 1 frozen banana
- ½ cup soy milk
- 2 teaspoons peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ¼ cup vanilla protein
- ½ cup ice
- Toppings: 4 slices of banana, whipped cream & chocolate syrup
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients except toppings together
- Get creative and use toppings to create a monkey face
Here are the recipes for our 2 runners-up, who also created nutritious and ono-licious smoothie bowls!
Shino’s Honua Bowl
- 1/2 banana
- 1/3 cup frozen mango chunks
- 5-7 drops blue food coloring
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3/4 cup soy milk
- Toppings: Kiwi, banana, berries, seeds
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients except toppings together
- Get creative and use toppings to create a cute pattern
Sibel’s Hibiscus Bowl
- ½ cup fresh banana
- ½ cup frozen mango
- ½ cup fresh melon
- ¼ cup ice
- Toppings: Coconut shreds for hibiscus flower, local honey drizzled on top
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients except toppings together
- Use a pancake mold to create the hibiscus shape with coconut shreds
- Drizzle honey on top
