You won't believe how addictive these carob brownies are! They've got the perfect chewy texture, are unbelievably fudgy, packed with rich carob flavor, and super easy to whip up!
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Whisk them together thoroughly and set this bowl aside.
In a different bowl, mix the flax eggs, sugar, and oil. Blend them for about 2 minutes until well combined. Now add water and vanilla extract to this mixture and blend again.
Bring back the bowl with the flour mixture. Pour it into the bowl with the wet ingredients. Add in the melted carob from step 2. Stir everything together for about 3 minutes, ensuring it's well combined.
Mix in an additional 1 cup of carob chips.
Prepare an 8x8 inch square baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper. Pour the brownie mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
Once done, remove the pan from the oven. Let the brownies cool completely while still in the pan, placed on a wire rack.
Once cooled, cut the brownies into your desired size (either 9, 12, or 16 pieces).
These nutty carob brownies are gluten-free, sugar-free, and made with almond butter, maple syrup, carob powder and walnuts. Oh and they're ridiculously delicious!
