Enchilada Sauce

Enchilada Sauce recipe from Down to Earth Organic and Natural.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1½ Tablespoons chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat oil on medium heat and add spices. Stir constantly until spices are slightly browned. Be careful not to burn them!
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and water. Whisk until smooth.
- Turn down the heat and add salt. Leave to simmer gently until sauce thickens, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Great for enchiladas or Mexican casseroles! Enjoy!
