Thai BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
- ½ Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup chopped sweet Maui onion
- 1½ ounces minced fresh ginger
- 1½ cups fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 small Hawaiian red chiles
- ½ cup honey
- 5 ounces tomato sauce
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ cup molasses
- ½ cup vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ Tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 10 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 ounce chopped fresh cilantro
- 2½ ounces chopped fresh lemongrass
- 3 ounces dark brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large sauce pan. Add onion and cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Add ginger and cook an additional 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook for 20 minutes.
- Strain sauce, return to heat and cook 20 minutes.
- Use immediately and refrigerate leftover sauce. Enjoy!
